October 11 is National Coming Out Day


Since 1988, National Coming Out Day has been celebrated as an opportunity to recognize and appreciate the differences and diversity in all of us.  The LGBTQ+ community is growing and encompasses a wide variety of gender identification with 5% of our population identify as such.  Today is a day to support those who are taking the step to share their identity with love and acceptance. 

According to the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI,) there is evidence that the LGBTQ+ community is at a higher risk for suffering mental health issues.  If you or a loved one need help- call BHS today:  702-608-1976.
