Christopher Christensen

Christopher is a nationally prominent healthcare executive with over twenty-two years in the industry. He is the co-founder and Executive Chairman of the Board of The Ensign Group (NASDAQ:ENSG) which provides healthcare facilities across the care continuum including skilled nursing, assisted living, home health, and rehabilitative services in the United States. Christopher served as President of Ensign since the company’s inception in 1999 and took the company public as CEO in 2006. In 2019, he was named Executive Chairman of the board and continues to work full-time on strategic growth initiatives and new business ventures for Ensign. Christopher has led the company in many of the most significant transactions in the healthcare space and is a key executive in the transformation of our healthcare system.

Christopher is also the co-founder of two other public companies, CareTrust (NASDAQ:CTRE) and The Pennant Group (NASDAQ:PNTG). He continues to play a role in both companies and served on the board for CareTrust from 2014-2015 and on the board for The Pennant Group since 2019. Christopher is also involved in his alma mater, serving as chairman of the President’s Leadership Council at Brigham Young University, a member of the Athletic Director’s Circle and a member of the National Advisory Committee in the Marriott School of Business at BYU. In his spare time, Christopher is very active philanthropically and has had the privilege to serve in missionary and humanitarian efforts all over the world taking him to Guatemala, the Dominican Republic, and Ghana to name a few.
